Jonathan
Aritonang, graduated from the Faculty of Public Administration,
National Institute of Public Administration (STIA-LAN) Jakarta,
Indonesia, also from the Faculty of Law, the University of 17 August
1945 Jakarta (majoring in Penal Law), Indonesia. His postgraduate he
obtained from Opleidings Instituut Financien, the Hague, the
Netherlands, in cooperation with the University of Erasmus, Rotterdam
(majoring in International Tax Law). He also obtained a Certificate
from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
He is preparing his Doctorate in State University Jakarta (majoring in
Education Management of Taxation).
His wide
and long experience in taxation is as follows:
He joined the Directorate General of Taxes of the Republic of Indonesia
from 1975 to 2004 (twenty nine years). During his service in the
Directorate General of Taxes he worked in the Regional Office and the
Head Quarter of the Directorate General of Taxes.
Jonathan
Aritonang was a lecturer/instructor of Badan Pendidikan dan Latihan
Keuangan (Board for Financial Education and Training), specializing in
Taxation Matter, and a lecturer in taxation of some universities, such
as the University of Trisakti, the University of Diponegoro, the
University of Atmajaya, and the University of Indonusa Esa Unggul. He
was also an instructor of some Tax Consultant Courses such as the
Courses held by the University of Pancasila, the University of
Trisakti, the University of Indonesia, IBI, and Artha Bhakti Foundation.
He is a
frequent speaker at public taxation seminars, and writer of articles on
taxation publications.
He holds
license as a Tax Consultant from the Directorate General of Taxes and
license as a Tax Attorney from the Indonesian Tax Court.
